When My Dreams Came True

Blue is my favourite colour. One of my favourite things to see is the blue sky. Seeing the blue sky takes my mind to the beautiful places in the world. Landscapes with blue skies always attract my attention. I can write a lot when I see the blue sky. I think I am a romantic person 😀

When I was a student of the English Department of IKIP Yogyakarta, I got books from the New Zealand and Australian Embassies. The books had so many pictures showing the beauty of the two countries. And I was very interested in the pictures with blue skies in them. In my deepest heart, I prayed, “Oh, Allah…please give me a chance to enjoy the blue sky of the two countries someday.”

In 2013, Allah answered my prayer. I got a chance to have teacher training for three weeks in Adelaide, Australia. I took lots of pictures of the blue sky there. I really enjoyed the beauty of the country – the blue sky, the blue ocean, the beautiful Botanical garden, the beautiful birds, the nice Kangaroos, the nice people, and many other beautiful things.

And I also have one more dream related to Australia. A few years ago when there was a visit from LPMP to SMPN 17 Bogor, one of the speakers showed his picture sitting on a bench in Australia. Again I prayed to Allah, “Oh, Allah…I do want to be able to sit on a bench in Australia, too.” So when I was in Adelaide, I took some pictures sitting on a bench. Again Allah answered my prayer. Glory be to Allah.
