A Story of Two Wolves

A Story of Two Wolves

A father and his son are sitting on a bench in a garden. It is a beautiful day. Some butterflies are flying around the garden. The birds are singing on the trees. And the sky is clear blue.

“There is always a fight inside you,” the father says.

“What kind of fight is it, father?” the son asks.

“There are two wolves fighting inside you all the time. One is a good wolf and the other is an evil one. The good wolf represents happiness, love, peace, kindness, empathy, truth, and faith.” The father stops for a moment. He takes a deep breath before he continues his story.

The son listens carefully. He thinks about the story.

“The evil wolf represents envy, ego, arrogance, guilt, anger, sorrow, lies, inferiority, and regret.”

“Which one will win the fight, father?” asks the son.

“The one that you feed everyday,” answers the father.

The same fight also happens to all of us. We can choose which ‘wolf’ that we feed to win the fight.
