5 Ways to Say “Happy”
There are a lot of things in our daily life that makes us happy. For example, when we get good news; when we win a competition; when our friends graduate from their studies; and any other moments. To express our happiness, there are 5 ways to say happy.
- Flying high. The words mean very happy. “When I got the good news that I was one of the teachers to go to Adelaide to have teacher training, I was flying high. My dream finally came true.”
- Pumped up. It means very excited about something. “My brother was pumped up for his new position. He is a marketing manager of the company now. He is going to take me and our big family to a restaurant for dinner. We congratulated him on his new position.”
- Fool’s paradise. The words mean a situation when someone is happy because they are ignoring a problem or failing to realize its existence. “I think you are in a fool’s paradise when you are enjoying your weekend with your best friends.”
- Ecstatic. It means extremely happy. “If I had an opportunity to be at the concert of Guns N’ Roses, I would be ecstatic. I do want to see Axl Rose’s performance on the stage.”
- Jubilant. This means being extremely happy, especially because of success. “My friend is jubilant at her success in the badminton competition. She is the first winner.”
